A report is in from Colombia regarding two diplomats, based in London, who have gone AWOL.
Adrianne Foglia and Vanessa Pretelt were both based in the Colombian embassy in London. When their four year term in the embassy were up, Foglia (a first consul) and Pretelt (Minister Counsellor and press spokesperson), were sent on gardening leave in London for a short time before being returned to slightly different posts to avoid the term limit.
However, when both decided that they didn’t want to come back from leave, they were sent £14,600 for their return. However, the Colombian foreign ministry has opened an investigation as it seem that they didn’t ever take up the flights and why they were sent them money when they weren’t even supposed to be returning to Colombia between the postings.
In the meantime, El Tiempo reports that their whereabouts is unknown.
