The workers’ war website

We’ve been asked to give a shout out to the workers’ war website, which has just been completed.

The site was the TUC library collections’ contribution to 60th anniversary of the end of World War II. It’s an interesting site as, rather than dwelling on the vital but often studied stories of the armed forces, it focusses on the often untold stories of working people in the mines, docks, factories and shipping industry.

The site has sound archives of those who were there, images and historial essays.
